I know that the Dooney cosmetic cases have sold out on ILD. But, if they come back,
I want to recommend them. The cosmetic case has a much wider base than a pouch or
wristlet.... so the cosmetic case holds a lot more. I bought several prints
(Hydrangea, Plumes, Art Deco) all in coated cotton. I already had some in
pebbled leather from many years ago. And if they come back on sale....
I'll probably buy a another print or 2, because they are so useful and so
much fun to look at inside a handbag.

Sunday night, Nov 3...
the Tartan cosmetic cases are back on ILD for $29.
I don't expect they will last long, it's an amazing price for
the full size cosmetic case. I ordered the black and the navy.
Just remember, if your order is under $119 you will pay shipping.
An excuse to order another handbag.

I'm glad you like the cosmetic cases at ILD. I purchased a florentine bag for nasty weather and it was only $85.00. Being too cheap to thow away $15.00 on shipping, I chose to add 2 cosmetic cases in what I could grab to get to $119+ ( needed to qualify for free shipping).

I was so late in buying the cases, I kept picking out colors and styles that were sold out. The beige nautical and the red case with white polka dots were thrown in my cart by default.

One thing I noticed, the florentine I got rid of yesterday, had an almost pristine red interior due to my habit of keeping items in little cases. I turned the lining inside out and only spotted a tiny pen mark dot in the corner by the seam.

The cases were $98.00 marked down to $29.40. Is this a good price? If I like them, I will be on the hunt for colors and patterns I like. The plume is stunning!

I missed the good ones, but grabbed a couple that were left so the handbag in my cart reached the free shipping mark.

I may not be thrilled about the patterns and colors, but at least I can find out if I like the size and quality.

Next time I will act quickly. I didn't realize they were fast sellers, but they would make a great inexpensive gifts for the upcoming holiday season.

The $29 price was great. I bought 4 of the coated cotton cosmetic cases when they
first went on sale a few months ago. (A floral, a Plumes, and 2 of the Art Deco pattern) I think they were about $45-49. A decent discount,
but not as great a price as you got. I also have the cosmetic cases in pebbled leather,
from years ago. They hold up well, but the leather is heavier than the coated cotton.

I did go back and pick up 2 more coated cotton when the price went down. I had resisted
the tartan during the first buying spree, but at $29 I got the black tartan and the blue/green tartan plaid. Both are beautiful.

The only downside I see to the cosmetic cases is also their big advantage.... they are roomy. So they take up space in a handbag. But it's so much more efficient to have
all my misc. items in 1 cosmetic case rather than multiple skinny pouches. And it
adds less weight to the handbag with one cosmetic case than several pouches.

My only challenges now are how to store and how to coordinate my SLGs.
Do I color coordinate all the SLGs, do I match some to the color of the
outside of the handbag, or do I declare the prints 'neutral' 😁
and just use them regardless of what other SLGs I am carrying?
I don't mind changing handbags several times a week, but
changing SLGs is really time consuming. 🙄 This was never
a problem when I only had 2 sets of SLGs. There was never any
pressure to 'use' my collection. Then I fell down the SLG
rabbit hole. How did that happen?
