Hi cooper carryall-owners,
Are you loving using the bag? And is it really just a workbag, or is it also a good everyday bag? Especially considering the size? Tia!

Hi cooper carryall-owners,

I’m using it as an everyday bag (I work from home, but am in the car most of the day). It is large, and can seem bulky/clunky/heavy at times- I tend to accidentally slam it into things when I’m carrying it in a store, etc. (I don’t use the shoulder strap). I’ve only been using mine for a week or two now so it also seems very stiff. I also switched from a Market tote to this bag, so it feels a little more compartmentalized. I do like big satchels/carryalls/totes- I doubt you’ll ever catch me with a Dinky or wristlet, no matter how cute they are.

All that being said, I am falling in love with the details on this bag- mine is the Sage color. The edges of the leather are a dark brown/black, which gives it an edge paint look, the interior is lined with a navy suede, which contrasts nicely with the exterior. The interior zipper pocket is lined in white canvas, and then it has the fancy 1941 hang tag. I don’t use the tie closure- they just hang over the side and look like another charm on the bag.

This isn’t my favorite bag to carry, that may change when it’s broken in a little more, but I doubt it. I’ve got a Mason being delivered in the next few days, and have been trying to talk myself out of ordering a turnlock Edie. I have a feeling that I’ll retire this bag to the closet before long, but I don’t see myself ever selling it either.

The photo above is how it looks on super-dirty Impala seats after a couple weeks of use. Happy Bag Hunting!

Thank you for your response! A lot to think about...I'm tempted but wouldn't want it in a closet...maybe I'll wait for an even better deal; it's now at 50% off.

Ps Do you find it heavy?

I have a cooper and I love it. I work from home so for me it’s not a work bag. I generally use it when I’m going out and I need a little more space, but don’t want to carry something like the market tote.

That being said it does look nice for work events and it can hold a lot of stuff.

It’s not a heavy bag and can bring together an outfit!

Thank you for answering! So it's not too big, doesn't look too much like a bag full of files?

What a thoughtful response!

Ps Do you find it heavy?

Lol, not really, but my definition of “heavy”, probably isn’t quite the same as everyone else’s (we farm, I keep bees, and I’d much rather make one heavy trip instead of several smaller ones when I’m moving things). I always carry large bags (and I always tend to have them crammed full of assorted randomness), so no, this bag doesn’t seem any heavier than normal. I definitely wouldn’t reach for it if I was going to some sort of event where I’d have to carry it around all day, but it’s fine for running errands, going to dinner, etc.

My main complaint is that it seems very stiff, and that it’s just kind of awkward. It’s a very structured bag, definitely not made for going over the shoulder, but I don’t like the way it hangs with the strap on either. Like I said previously, I love the details on this bag, but not necessarily the entire package. I’m very glad I didn’t pay full retail for it!

Hi cooper carryall-owners,

I have two cooper carryalls. I first bought the Bordeaux color and I really like it, so I ended up buying the black one.

I use it for work mostly, but I can definitely use this bag for going out to lunch or dinner over the weekend. The bag is very elegant and can complement both work and casual outfits. And I like that it has compartments vs just one big one, and a zipped middle compartment to put your valuables in.

The bag is not light, but not as heavy as I would imagined (The Rogue is much more heavier).

Hope this helps :)

Thank you, it certainly helps a lot! You don’t find it too big, where I thought it might be..you even have two!
