Background: I am 21years old Chinese Singaporean graduating soon! I have always wanted to have surgery to widen and correct my uneven eyes and reduce my round nose tip. I personally like how some of my friends that had surgery in Korea turned out, I know a friend that did her rhino in thailand and failed so had to go to Korea for a revision anyway so Korea has always been my no.1 option.

At first I was sure I wanted to go to Banobagi, but I thought I should still consult with more doctors. My friend recommended to go on consultation tour with an agency called Eunogo. They gave the quotations and recommendations from various doctors and said that I could either have one trip where I choose a clinic and secure the surgery for the trip beforehand or where I shop around clinics and then try secure a surgery slot while I am there. They said that to have surgery with the best surgeons it will require booking in advance so I choose the second option where I take two trips, one for consultation and one for surgery in March. Luckily Seoul isn’t too far away for me!

I arrived in Seoul late at 10pm on the 11th of December. A driver was waiting for me and took me to the hotel.

Schedule the next day:

10am Banobagi consultation
12pm April 31st consultation
Lunch
3pm Dream consultation
5pm Grace consultation & skincare/mole removal

My translator Irene, was waiting for me at Banobagi clinic and then we talked about how I wanted my surgery to turn out, budgeting, things to do in Korea while waiting for our turn. She told me even if you make a booking, you still have to wait a while especially in Dec-Jan.

Banobagi

I liked the clinic and it was the clinic that I had as my first choice. The staff escorted us to a private waiting room. The lobby was packed…. I consulted with Dr. Lee for my surgery and they recommended that I do epi, lateral, non-incisional double eyelid-ptosis. I told them that I had very sensitive skin and I didn’t want incision because it would scar. For the epi and lateral, he said that they are very careful not to leave scars and I thought it wouldn’t be as obvious as double eyelid scar so I am still considering. It is a bit expensive to do them all but I don’t want to regret not doing it together and go through another surgery later on. For rhino, it seemed pretty simple, just reduce my nose tip a little and not alter the height too much because he said it was already proportionate to my face profile. He said he would use silicon for nose bridge which I am not too comfortable with.

April 31st
The receptionist weren’t too friendly so first impression wasn’t great. Irene told me that Dr.kim was very famous for rhinoplasty so I consulted with him after a scan and he recommended that I use ear cartilage for my rhino, for eyes I consulted with a different doctor (can’t remeber) who said just I should lateral not epi, and non incisional double eyelid. Overall I got the feeling that they weren't very caring or welcoming but I was impressed that they do a very thorough consultation but beware of the hidden costs, they tried to make me pay because I consulted with another doctor.

Dream
I consulted with dr. Park for my eyes and he recommended incisive double eyelid and lateral. I told him about my skin and he said not to worry and I was told he prefers the incisive method. For rhino I consulted with Dr. Lee and he said he could reduce my nose tip and add a bit to the height to my nose bridge with silicon to make my profile look more sophisticated… again something that I am thinking about.

Grace
The clinic was smaller than I expected, Irene told me that it was more local clientele and I consulted with Dr. Choi who could speak some English. He took his time to talk to me and recommended incision with lateral and reduce the nose tip to create a sharper look. It was nice and cosy compared to the other bigger clinics but I am not sure if I liked the b&a pictures at the clinic….

At this point it’s pretty much a blur…
Overall it was freezing cold coming from Singapore. The waiting times were quite long despite booking appointments. I don’t think I could have done it without help. I also requested for some skincare treatments so Irene booked skincare procedures at Grace after all the consultations. I walked around Seoul all red like a zombie for the rest of the trip...

I am still thinking about where to get my surgery but I know I am sure I want it before my graduation so I can look good in my photos and I know it will be harder to get time off for ps when I have a job. Any experiences with the clinics above? Silicon or cartilage for rhino???

Aww, it's a pity, I've always heard good things about April 31 warm welcoming. Hopefully, consultation with doctor is good

Please update when you choose a clinic  I know it's not easy, I've been hesitating for months myself

The consultation at April 31st was really good! Just the front staff that weren't as nice as the others and it was the most expensive....

Look up kcouture reviews. She had rhino revision with Dr Park at Dream Medical and is really happy with her nose. Was there a reason you didn't consult with Dr Park for your nose too? Or is there more than one Dr Park?

For rhinos, silicone is used for the heightening of the bridge while cartilage is usually just used for the tip. It depends on if you want your bridge heightened or your tip lengthened and defined

I think we are talking about the one Dr. Park, while Dr. Park is a specialist and one of the best for eyelids I asked if there was anyone else that was a specialist just for rhino that could perform the surgery.

Yeah, I am still not sure I want my nose bridge higher with silicone because my initial problem was with my nose tip, but they said it will look more balanced and I don't want to have regrets and go for a revision. Just the thought of silicone is still scary for me....

Hi velvet! Who was your consultant at April31? Did they give you a quotation?
I don't remember my consultants name, I communicated through Irene which made it so much easier. I got quotations from all the clinics and April 31 was the moooooooost expensive.

I'm planning to go with eunogo for my BA! I decided I didn't need the consultation tour after the online consultation but sounds like a good way to get a lot of information all in one day.
