Constancy of jewelry

Hi everybody!

I absolutely LOVE jewelry; every kind of jewelry. Therefore, I've got some high-quality jewelry, especially from Tiffany.

I've got silver necklaces and bracelets, two platinum rings (with diamonds), a rose gold necklace and a golden bracelet.

I'm sometimes really afraid of wearing my jewelry (sounds weird, I know) because I love them so much and I want to preserve it as much as I can.

Do you think that such high-quality jewelry can last a lifetime or will it be rather shabby and unbeautiful some day? How and how often do you clean your jewelry? Could you give me some advice?

And do you think that sterling silver (from Tiffany) will be invariably tarnished some day? My silver bracelets tarnishes a little bit and I usually clean it with a silver cleaning cloth.

I don't believe in storing jewelry away. It's meant to be worn. I clean my jewelry with mild soap and water. I clean my silver with a cloth, nothing special. I have taken a few pieces into Tiffany to get polished as jewelry can get dull with wear. Nothing a nice polish can't fix.
