Constance scratch on ostrich leather?

I just bought a Constance ostrich leather and brought home I was so happy and now I just found it looked like scatch a long line (pic). Do u think it is scratch or just how the ostrich leather look? but it looks to me it scratch from a fingernail…Please help and let me know what I can do? I hate to deal with my sa something like this… I am so disappointed it and I am crying … it is not cheap….why I couldnt see it when I was at the boutique! Should I text him now or wait until morning.

My honest opinion is this looks like a natural mark on the ostrich skin, and not a scratch. I can only advise based on the photos but it doesn't seem damaged to me. My personal action would be to take it in and chat with my SMs. They like to see how I style the bags they have offered anyway, are always been so kind and open and would definitely give me their advice based in their wider experience with Ostrich. I have a few bags in this skin but have not noticed this. I wouldn't worry so much. 👍🏼

So u think I just need to bring it in without text my sa to let him know about the situation? And go ask to speak with the store manager? It is hard to tell from the pic but look to me a scratch line.

I would bring it next time I visit the store and just casually show it to my SA/SM just for an opinion, because I do know them reasonably well and I do not think it's a scratch or damage. Ostrich skin is from a living animal and just like us, we have minor imperfections which are natural. Terre Cuite is also a lighter colour, so it is much easier to see these variations.
Of course the actual bag is with you, so only you can really tell if there is a break in the surface of the skin.
If you are very concerned then I would just arrange an appointment and show it to your SA, I do not recommend an out of hours text or directly approaching your SM, if you haven't met etc. I hope your concerns are allayed and you will no longer be this upset. 👌🏼

I had something similar a couple years back picking up my ostrich mini k. We also determined it was natural, since he took it out of the wrap infront of me, couldnt be from a fingernail. SA also insinuated if I dont take it hes not sure if he can get me another one. I took it and now it patina nicely.

I’ve looked closely at these pics and I don’t think this is damaged.

ETA: A top grade hide will have marks occurring naturally that are not defects
But I honestly don’t even see any mark that looks out of the ordinary.

I also do not see anything untoward from your photographs.
Nevertheless I too would be upset if I had spent a lot of money on a premium item that appeared to be defective.

My main response is towards this:
'I hate to deal with my SA something like this'

of course you should raise it with your SA
and immediately
if you leave it and there is damage, that would give more weight to a claim that you had done it

the purpose of your SA is to serve you and make sure you are satisfied with your purchase

your SA should be able to reassure you that all is well, or find a solution if there is a problem

If this were not Hermes, you would be taking it back right away

My ostrich bag has markings like these. I noticed them right after bringing it home from the store so not likely to be damage. I didn’t investigate further.
