Considering a Gucci Bag for present; help is welcome.

Colours apart, even size apart, i am between those models…

Advise about size/colour also welcome.

The bag will be for my GF, 25 y.o., 1,70, blonde… just if any this data help.

I would like to purchase something iconic, that holds value, beater, that share place in the collection with few Coach mini Tabby pillow, few Goyard tote, few Goyard Plumet, small Channel Gabrielle, small Hermes Birkin.

holds value? not many things holds value now especially bags, that being said, these two I would pick for her, 1 is more flashy, the other is a bit subtle.

Hello Natalie, i have lots of doubts.

If the small sholder jackie, i like canvas with gucci pattern, black, naturain grain black & brown.

If mini; like pink & light pink & black.

Small Jackie is W27.5cm x H19cm x D4cm very comfortable on the shoulder, convertible to a cross-body

Small Diana is W27cm x H24cm x D11cm, so same width, but a little roomier. The bands are cute and the webstripe will make it more casual, leather strap makes it more serious if need be, and handheld could be quite formal. It really is a bag for all occasions and in the right colour, all seasons.

Since it's a gift, I would go iconic Gucci.

A stiffer(structured) tote is more on trend right now (Diana) but Jacke is very wearable every day (in a practical colour).

Now you have to think about her:

Is she fashionable or classic?
What colours are in her wardrobe?
Would she appreciate the small 'GG' logo on the Diana, or would she prefer the anonymity, 'quite luxury' of the no logo Jackie?
Would she appreciate the many ways she can dress-up/down the Diana with bag-accessories, or the simplicity of the Jackie?
Does she like to ever hand-carry (Diana) or is her bag always on her shoulder/cross-body (Jackie)?

I don't think you can go wrong with either but for me the deciding factor would be her wardrobe stye. If she wears consistent classical/minimalist/very casual (but not street) or preppy (all these styles are very different) then I would think the Jackie. If a lot more variety is needed /more fashion-forward /sometimes more dressy/urban/edgy/unusual, I would say the Diana.

If to choose; i would go to Classic. Burberry Trench would be her more defining clothing item. Very into jeans, so on… but in a cute way. Her more ‘extreme’ outfits are with some Maje clothes & colorful/easy dresses in summer.

Sounds like she'd prefer the Jackie from most of answers.

Apart from the H Birkin remark (Diana is a tote like a Birkin, Birkin has 'Hermes, made in Pais' when carried open so is not 'quiet' Birkin is completely hand-held (unlike the Jackie) Birkin as quite flash' with strongly featured hardware - makes the Diana look quiet, Birkin has a flat bottom that is very good for organisation, like a Diana).

Ok, here i am again, and nothing too clear;

I think the black leather is very elegant and discrete, the brown; too. The black grain looks a bit ‘cheaper’ to me. Dark green not bad aswell, light one, maybe to get tired faster… and normally i don’t like canvas with brand patterns, but here looks so nice… so, also, a strong option, but not sure if so much GG takes ‘too much attention’.

Also were considering the mini instead the small, but i think small is still cute & more versatile.

OT, but perhaps some future ideas think she would also look very nice with a SS Rolex men’s size tool watch, like the coke GMT or a light weight necklace (like the VCA GMOP six motif or a Foundrae mixed combo)
