Confused...how does a Rajah tote really work?

I apologize if this issue has been addressed already but I'm confused...does the fact that it's depth is only 2" mean you better only have 2 inch wide items? How does a cosmetic bag work in this bag because it really looks like it has no stretch to it at all. I would love to see this bag with a lot of stuff in it because I really do like the canvas large one but since I have to order online now, I've been skeptical to take that plunge. Pics anyone??

I have a vintage Trussardi tote like this - but even flatter. My mum and I have used that bag to death (and should get rid of it really).

It may bulge if you put say, a cardigan or big scarf in it, but it doesn't really matter. The only thing I wouldn't use it for is to carry around something boxy and rigid otherwise it'll look weird, otherwise it's very workable. Lovely bag.

I really love mine. I have the white. Seriously thought about getting a second one. I carry a fair amount in mine. Lunch, sometimes a laptop.
