I live in the US but was in Madrid last week. On the LV EU website, I ordered the Murakami multicolor passport holder for pickup at one of the LV boutiques in Madrid. I am now back in the US and realize I'd like to return it because some of the stitching isn't great. (Yes, I wish I had realized this while I was still there.)

In the packaging, there's a UPS label to return the item. Can I use that to ship it back to the EU from the US? If so, do I have to get the return authorized in advance? I see no option to do this from the website.

If I can't do this, I'm due to be in Italy later this week. Can I bring the item to an LV boutique in Italy for a return.

I do not want to exchange the item and would like a refund. Thanks for any insight anyone might have.

Call LV to inquire. I know when I purchased from Dior and Bvlgari in Europe, I could only return for credit to the exact boutique or city I was in. LV I don't recall what the policy was but I'd check to be sure directly from them.

The return policy is on the Spanish website and should also be on your receipt. Refunds can only be made in the country of purchase, so no you cannot ship a return back internationally, and no, even though Italy and Spain are both EU you cannot return it for refund in Italy. Even stricter terms are involved because you bought it online somehow despite no EU country LV websites accepting US payment methods, and when you return online sales to a store in Spain you either get store credit or you’d have to wait for the store to send your return to the warehouse where they can then process your refund.

I only bought in-store before and all the store receipts says that we can return to (almost) any Louis Vuitton store in the world, but I had a feeling that the rules are vastly different for online purchases.
Also the 14-day return period with full refund must work all over Europe, but only when returned to the exact retailer that sent it.

Agree maybe you should just use and enjoy despute the minor imperfection. Otherwise, maybe consider selling? If hard to come by and you saved money by purchasing in Europe, you'll likely make your money back and then some. I have never sold anything so I'm not sure what hassle may be involved with seeking, but it seems like you don't have much to lose if you really don't want to keep the item. Good luck!

Put it on Stock-x or fashionphile, you'll easily break even.

I once bought couple of bags at doha airport and enquired about the return policy in USA in case I change my mind later. They informed me that I couldn't get refund but store credit was def guaranteed. I suggest that you go to LV store (if one is nearby) or call the customer service. I didn't have to return mine, but I believe you will get store credit.
