COMPARISON- Louis Vuitton Madeliene and Chanel Coco Handle

Hi all! I was out window shopping the other day and came across the new Louis Vuitton Madeliene top handle bag! It looks just like a coco handle (certainly took many design elements) and happened to bring my coco handle that day. Sharing comparison shots!

The Madeliene comes in two size at the moment, with the standard size being the same as a small (formerly mini) coco handle, and the larger one similar in size to a medium (formerly small) coco handle.

The inside compartments were hard to capture on video---> So the Madeliene has similar compartments to a coco handle inside, with a slim zip pocket dividing two main sections, with a small slit pocket in the back. Unlike the coco handle this bag does not have a pocket on the back side of the bag, and no feet. Let me know if you have any questions! ^_6

Thank you so much for posting comparisons, I’ve been waiting for someone to compare the two bags, I missed out on a coco handle and because I love the bicolour I have been so tempted by the Madeleine but it’s not been released in the UK yet so I’m still waiting to see it in person before I buy.

Yes agreed I would choose the coco handle, though the Madeleine is $2800 so some may justify this price point better I believe

The Standard Madeliene is $2800 USD as of launch, if I am not mistaken the small coco handle currently retails $5,100. I did not check the price of the larger Madeliene sadly though the prices are on the LV website now

Coco Handle is way better. The LV Madeliene handle looks weird.

Yes It does sit funny on the body as it can bend. I imagine walking and holding the top handle with one hand would have the bag swinging back and forth somewhat haha

It is a cute bag honestly, and a vast price difference in comparison to the coco handle. I was tempted myself, though I already have three coco handles that I am satisfied with ^_6 Though to be honest the Madeliene really is a heavily and I mean HEAVILY inspired bag by the coco handle. Bvlgari has a bag coming out too thats comparable to a coco handle!!
