For over 20 years my mother has been building her own dollshouse.
She cut out the house herself and decorated using dollshouse wallpaper and even doilies for the ceiling.
Most of the furniture she has made herself from kits, a few a premade like the kitchen.
The lightning you see does work and lights up the house beautifully.
She has not finished as the attic rooms have a few things left to do and some of the lights need to be repaired.

I thought you all might enjoy seeing something a little different and I hope you enjoy this little visit.
If there are any rooms you would like to see a close up photo, please feel free to ask.

Enjoy.20200402_112123.jpg 20200402_111530.jpg 20200402_111540.jpg 20200402_111559.jpg 20200402_111608.jpg 20200402_111616.jpg 20200402_111625.jpg 20200402_111644.jpg 20200402_111650.jpg 20200402_111657.jpg 20200402_111911.jpg 20200402_111928.jpg

I think this is AMAZING! thank you so much for posting it-I found comfort looking at it and I intend to go back and study the little details.
Although I'm 60 I've always fantasised about having a dolls house like this (since I saw one as a little girl on display that once belonged to one of our english princesses -I remember it being similar to your mothers) its a thing of beauty and I love it!
Thank you!:heart::heart::heart::heart:

This is incredible! I had a much smaller and more primitive doll house as a girl. My grandfather built it for me and I loved it so much! I’m in my 50’s and have moved many times but I still have it......in my garage these days but I’ll never let it go. Your moms is a true work of art!

Yes she is...she was a dressmaker and made both my SIL dresses...she also used to decorate cakes and make icing flowers and now she is really into embroidery. She has always been a very creative person.
Embroidery you say ?
That is great ! Today, I just recieved a bunch of handkerchiefs I ordered that is embroidered
with "J!m" on them... I am thinking of doing my silk pajamas and silk robes... possibly a few pairs of my Stubbs & Wooton velvet house shoes that is plain on the vamp... out of all the pairs I have, I don't know what possessed me to get a few pairs of plain ones. I must consult with your Mom to see how to go about embroidering them.
