I recently bought Fulton Hobo in Vanilla. I haven't used it as yet as the thought of color transfer scares me. I had white Zara and Charles and keith. Both were PU and they both caught colour from my dress and the stains refused to go away. My question is: is there a chance this bag will catch colour? Is there any way I can prevent it?

Usually colour transfer happens from denim as the fabric is usually overdyed. What kind of dress is it?

Scotchgard may help with having a protective barrier.

Black coat. So my white bags have black spots on them. I really don't want my mk to suffer the same fate.
Thank you. I will try Scotchgard.... :)

Hmmm. I would suggest either waiting to carry the bag when you don't wear the black coat (if that's possible - do you live in a climate with different seasons?). Or, do you have a different coat to wear (something in a light color?) when you want to use the bag.

Edit: Nice bag!!! Enjoy it.

Yes, that is what I'll have to do. I wear a coat regularly but I'll reserve this for the days i wear a light colored one. :)

MK makes a rain & stain protect spray. https://www.michaelkors.com/rain-stain-protector/_/R-US_MK0018 It is awesome! I picked it up at the MK outlet for $5.99. You can also use a damp Mr Clean magic eraser on saffiano leather to get off the jean transfer, just be gentle.

I double checked the price on my receipt & the protect spray was $9.95, but a little goes a long way. I spray the bag, wipe down with a paper towel & let dry. I have done a couple coats on 2 large MK bags & 3 md. I still have 2/3 of the bottle left.

Thanks loads. This will help with my other light colored bags too!

OMG! I finally got it! It was $10 but since MK outlet isn't in my area and I had to pay someone to get it for me it cost me more but still.......

Thank you again!!!
