I'm new here and very excited to find a forum like this...now I don't have to explain til I'm blue in the face why I would pay $xxxx for a LV purse or bag to my friends (amazing as they are) but who simply do not care for designer goods...I can just come here!
Anyway, on to my question...my eyes have been steadily glued for about 8 hours a day to the computer screen reading posts in this forum since I discovered it a couple of days ago and I have a small question: what is the color of the thread/stitching found on LV bag handles? Specifically, I bought a Papillon 26 in 2002/3 (my first LV!) from the LV boutique in Crown Casino, Melbourne, Australia and have just noticed that the thread/stitching on the handles are brown and not yellow. Mildly curious, I looked up pictures online and so far, have only found yellow thread/stitching on the handles of Papillon and indeed other models as well. In short, all bag handles regardless of models, seemed to have yellow thread/stitching (no brown or other variation that I can see). Oh yes, this applies to the Monogram Canvas line only (I didn't check the other lines since my Papillon is a Monogram Canvas).
I haven't used the Papillon much, it's always been stored in its dustbag so could it be that the thread turned brown over time (is there such a thing!?) or are there variations depending on when and where a bag was made? Mine read Made in France by the way. Also, due to the years, the handles have turned color...maybe it's a subjective thing, but the color of the handles look brown (not honey) to me. As I personally bought the bag from a LV boutique myself, I'm assuming there can be no question regarding its authenticity but just curious regarding the thread/stitching (brown versus yellow) and color of the handles (why brown and not honey).
Any thoughts/insights to share? Would be especially interested to hear from other Papillon owners...thanks all!

I was just curious really. 
if that's the case). I was just wondering since as I mentioned, all pictures of "new" Papillon come with yellow thread/stitching.
