Hi all. I am trying to repair the toe caps on my second-hand Brixtons. I believe the color is Dusty Pink, and trying to match has been an epic failure. My local shoe guy usually just repaints the entire shoe a similar, but never close enough, color. I'm pretty good with touching up, and blending in, but I just can't get the color right... that's where I struggle. So far, I have applied Saphir Renovatrice that is pretty close, but now I need to apply paint to blend into the rest of the shoe. Maybe I'm being a perfectionist, but I just can't get the color right. Photo shoes the shoe before I cleaned the area, prepped it and applied the renovatrice. Any suggestions? Thanks.

Interesting, because the sole goes all the way along to Brixtons (Jodaans and Princetons) whereas with cheaper shoes it's easier to scuff the toes. Goodness knows what the last owner did.

Just putting this out there (aka, don'r kill me for being the one to say) but couldn't you just go for a darker all over colour like black? I don't think you'll ever match the colour and the scuffing is so high on the toe.

Thanks. I might have to do that, but I already own them in black. However, I think I finally got a match. Took forever, and I always hate how Leather paint looks on finer leathers. I used duller and thinned out as much as possible, but the store factory finish is hard to simulate. I'll post a photo when I'm done.

Well done on the colour matching. I think there's a gap in the market for colour matching and mixing shoe dyes and polishes.

Best of luck! (fingers and toes crossed for you) XXXX
