I had a double find at TJ Maxx today...but ended up a little confused and amused.

Found two of the same item! (They're the same size, just perspective):

However...

Different zippers?
Everything else the same except the Creed:

Made in different places (I think?).

BUT

Good job, there, whoever decided that!

Yes the creeds could be different. That first set of numbers is the month, year, and plant code. C is March, D is April. But they are the same year, 2017, so that is strange that the variations are different that soon. Maybe one style is made for dept. stores and the other for boutiques? Who knows with Coach, nothing shocks me any more...

They were both made in the same plant just a month apart. I have the chalk version of this made in the same location same month same year C1780-10560 and mine too has the same leather pull as your C month wallet.

Yeah, I do find it odd that a month apart they have such an obvious difference.

That TJMaxx $99.99 tag looks like a replacement tag, where the first/correct $149 tag was probably ripped off, and in these situations the associates usually just grab a nearby similar wallet to make a new one. Weird that they didn't see the exact same one, but SAs at most TJs are too busy to care with spending a ton of time on that sort of thing. So that $99 one would be a great deal, because the retail was $375 on it! I just saw the black/burgundy version at the outlet last night, but even at 70% off ($112.50) I wasn't too tempted.

I hope whoever wants to buy the wallet, they see the $99 one first!
