Coach Snakeskin scales lifting/peeling?

Hi, all. I recently received my Snakeskin Tabby Shoulder bag that I ordered through the Coach website. It’s beautiful; however, I noticed that quite a few scales are slightly lifted at their edges. It’s not clearly visible, but the lifted scales can definitely be felt when I run my fingers across the lifted areas. Is this normal for snakeskin?

Reptile skin needs conditioning too and I fear that the new Coach bags are going to be prone to scales lifting. I use a conditioner especially for exotic skins and am hoping this helps my newer bags. Bickmore Exotic

Thanks for your feedback and conditioner link, redwood66. This is my first reptile skin bag, so I appreciate your advice! It appears I’ll have to be more careful with this one. But I don’t mind...she’s a keeper.

I have the Tabby shoulder bag with snakeskin on top and I have noticed the scales are lifting some. I went ahead and ordered the conditioner.
