I purchased a pair of men’s signature slippers from the Coach Outlet Online. I wear a shoe size 11 in sneakers, but I often size down for things like winter boots, slippers, etc. that say they “run large,” and generally never have an issue with the fit. Well these slippers said “run large,” so I purchased a size 10, thinking if there were an issue I could just return them. Turns out they’re way too small and final sale, which means no return OR exchange. I didn’t realize Coach sold anything final sale, especially not fall items at the end of summer when I bought them. So I can’t initiate a return online.

So my question is, are they really final sale?! Like, I can’t them to my local Coach Outlet store and get store credit, or exchange in the system if they have them in size 11? It just seems ridiculous to have to blind buy sized items and not be able to return or exchange them. It’s not a bag. I never would have purchased a shoe if I had realized I couldn’t return them. But I’ve never had an issue with their customer service like this before.

Once again, they seem WAY to small to be a men’s 10. They don’t fit me AT ALL. I feel like their sizing chart is misleading. Will an SA or manager understand this if I take the time to drive many miles to my nearest Outlet? It’s a bit of a drive for me since it seems they intentionally locate their outlets away from city centers, and I don’t want to waste my time.

I completely agree that items like shoes or clothing should be returnable or at least, exchangable. Every brand and style may run differently and a size that fits in one style may be too small in another and too big in even another. (That's why I don't buy jeans, shoes and other "fit" items online!)

Maybe if you call and let them know that you are willing to exchange for another item to spend the money, they may loosen the policy.

Several years ago, I asked (in a mall Coach store) why it was only shoes/footwear that were reduced in price and was told that Coach doesn't make their own footwear. They contract with other brands to make shoes and as such, they're able to reduce them at the end of a season and/or when sizes/colors/variety is reduced. Since they can't get more of the same when they run out, they just sell of whatever inventory is remaining.

With all that said and if they flat out refuse your reasonable exchange request, I wonder if you considered reselling them. You might be able make a few bucks! Especially with the holidays coming, the timing may work out for you.

If you do decide to sell, along with the marked size, include length and width measurements so buyers can decide for themselves whether they run TTS, large or small.

BTW, did you look at the label inside the slippers to see if you actually received a size 10? It's possible they may be another size and were replaced into a wrong size box, unbeknownst to employees. If that's the case, I think you'll have a valid complaint!

FYI, here are current listings. (You'll have to ignore the ones that aren't the same style):
