Coach, made in turkey?

so i recently bought a white minisignature soho hobo from ebay. everything looks real to me...except the leather square patch thingy on the inside says that it's made in turkey. i thought all coach things were made in china. can anyone shed some light on this?

or does it say "made in Turkey"

I think that some of the bags are made in turkey, but calling coach would probably be the best thing to do...hope it's real..

Yes, I'd definitely call Coach or visit one of the stores. I just talked to a Coach SA the other day who said they have been seeing a ton of fakes come in for authentication. How sad.

Can counterfeiters skip at least one brand? They even make fakes of Le Sportsac now... and those bags are pretty "cheap" compared to other brands' prices...

LeSportsac fakes? That's insanity! It's so frustrating how hard it is to buy legitimate used/discount goods. I've been pretty lucky with Coach products on eBay, but every once in a while I search for fakes to report and I'm just amazed at what's out there. I can't imagine that the time and effort put into some of these items is worth it to the sellers. Grrrrrr.

Coach bags used to be made in USA a long while ago until China took over. I'm not sure about the made in Turkey bags though...

I have a bag that the creeds reads as:

"This is a Coach bag.It was handcrafted in Turkey
from Lamb Nappa trimmed with the finest genuine lizzard.Its superior
craftsmanship and attention to detail reflect our commitment to enduring quality."

It was a special edition coach bag at the coach store so I know for sure that mine is authentic, I dont know about the one you bought. hope this helps.....

When I worked there a few years ago I know the bags were made in different places and you could tell by the number inside where the bag was made. Call Coach and they'll let you know.

ok, so i called coach today and they said that coach is actually made in a number of different countries. she named like 10 or so of them (i can't remember them all)...but china, turkey, costa rica were amongst the ones named. unfortunately, she could not tell me which style is made in which country since coach does not want counterfeiters to have that info.

my bag looked authentic to me...the only thing that made me question it in the first place with the 'handcrafted in turkey' business. but i think i'm a little more comforted by the info i got today
