I was looking at the Coach prairie satchels at a Macy's store and noticed some of them have removable straps and others don't. The coach website has pictures of this bag with non-removable straps. I just thought it's weird that Coach would sell the same bag with different options, but they don't list them differently on their website. Another review on coach.com also pointed out the inconsistency.

I personally prefer this bag with removable strap, but the one I ordered online has a non-removable strap.

Does anyone else notice the inconsistencies in other coach bags or is it just the prairie satchel?

My friend and I were in a Coach FP store a few weeks ago as she was looking for a new handbag. She looked at the Prairie. The SA in that store said the newer generation of the Prairie do have the removable strap. Not sure why they EVER had it without that option! If you are unhappy and live close to a FP store - she if you can exchange for one with removable strap.

The Edie has some colors that are in the original version (with the oval Coach nameplate) and the more subtle Coach logo. It almost seems like you have to go to the store and ask specifically because I do not think the style numbers changed on the Edie or the Prairie.
