I don't own it, but I've played with it in the store. They're not really gathers...at least, not like the Madison gathered leather bags...this is almost more like embossing, or deep wrinkles. Hard to explain, but I don't see them loosening the way some of the Madison gathered bags did.

Thanks for the tip! I have 2 madison gathered twists, a N/S and a small. Both are black and are the same except for the sizes so I'm planning to exchange the small for one of these.
