Looking to downsize from my go-to work tote on Fridays so I can easily transition from day to night. Definitely need something that can 1) be worn crossbody, 2) can contain an iPad, wallet, sunglasses case, small cosmetics case, 3) isn't too big or heavy, and 4) looks plain enough for work wear but cute enough to go out after work.

I love the Dufflette because it looks like it has more room, more structure, and the larger crossbody strap makes me think it would be more comfortable to wear crossbody. I also love the Scout because it has a little more details, and can easily go from shoulder wear to crossbody wear. I am a little concerned that the skinny crossbody strap may dig into my shoulder once the bag is filled with my items.

Looking for any advice from fellow purse lovers who may have either the Dufflette or the Scout. Would love your opinions, and mod shots. TIA! :D

I don't have either of these styles, but I have seen them IRL.I like the leather better on the Dufflette. Nordstrom had them on sale late last week when I was looking on their site.

I took a few pics using my Scout. One is using an iPad (gen 3-green) and one is with an iPad mini-pink). I also used two different sunglass cases. Everything fits but the bag is kind of heavy with the iPads (I know the newer iPads are lighter). I tried it with the long strap and it wasn't that bad.
Hope this helps.

I plan to get the Scout in black because the short handle can be removed with a screwdriver. Then I plan on getting a gold chain strap with leather weave through in black from Mautto cut to shoulderbag length, similar to what I did with the Bleecker Daily. (There's a pic of this by another poster on the Daily club that shows the chain.) This way I can use it 3 ways. Short handle, medium dressy shoulder length, and casual crossbody. The Scout is like a compact Daily bag with pockets. I have problems with wide straps sliding off my sloped shoulders.

I think it depends on how much space you need, the Dufflette will hold more, the Scout will offer more carry options.

I have both of these bags and would say hands down the dufflette. I love my Scout hobo but the skinny cross body strap does dig into my shoulder after a while. The strap on the dufflette is more comfortable - especially if you were carrying an IPad.

I don't have either but if I had to choose I'd pick the Dufflette.

Thank you for the input!! That's what I decided to go with; think it will work out best for my needs!

Thank you so much for that tip!! I just checked the Nordstrom site and am confused. They have a Dufflette (40% off $295) and a mini Dufflette (25% off $245). What's weird is that the dimensions of the mini are bigger than the dimensions of the non-mini :confused1: I know that listed dimensions are sometimes inaccurate, but were there ever two sizes made for this bag? It's a great sale, will definitely be buying from there as it easily beats the current 25% off PCE from FP. Thanks so much for letting me know!! :D

Wow, thank you SO MUCH for the pics!! You have no idea how helpful this was in helping me reach a decision! (Especially since I have this exact sunglasses case. Yay Maui Jim :p) I absolutely love the look of the smooth leather on the Scout, and the beautiful details on the front of the bag, but these pics leave me with no doubt that this style will be too small for me to properly function as a work bag. There will be times when I will need to add a few things, and I can see being frustrated with its smaller size. It will stay on my wish list as a smaller off-work purse!

Thank you again for the input and the pics. You TPF ladies are amazing!!!

What a great idea! The Scout is such a pretty purse, and I still think that I will get one in the future (maybe in a bright fun color), but I have decided to go with the larger Dufflette, in a more traditional black color as my Friday work bag!

Enjoy your Scout, and please post pics once you've made the tweak with the gold chain/leather weave strap!!

Thank you for the input!! I have decided to go with the Dufflette. I think that the Scout will have me shuffling items to make everything fit, which could lead to frustration. I still want to get it at some point, but as a going out purse; not for work!

I have come to the same conclusion, thanks to the advice of you great TPF ladies! I think that the Dufflette will be more comfortable for my work needs. I do a bit of walking as part of my commute to the office, and having a comfortable crossbody strap (as opposed to a shoulder strap that keeps on falling, or a skinny crossbody straps that digs into my shoulder) makes all the difference! Thanks so much for your reply!

I say dufflette too! I really like the look of it!

Thank you for your input!! I have decided to go with the Dufflette! The Nordstrom site shows pics of what can fit inside. It made me realize that there will be days when I want to add an umbrella or a few other items to my work bag. Given the two options I was considering, the Dufflette will work best for me!!

Dufflette!

This was my first attempt at multi-quoting. Sorry I didn't catch your post. Thank you for your reply. I decided to go with the Dufflette and am so excited to have it as my new work bag!!

I searched for additional pics before making my decision and came across beautiful shots of your black and tan ones. Gorgeous!!
