Why would the same Coach wallet be on eBay under two different seller names - one in the UK and one in the US?

Both sellers have different hands/ nails and the photos are taken from different angles but the sales tag is exactly the same, right down to the barcode and serial number.

The UK seller replied saying they didn't know it was listed elsewhere but that's all I have heard.

What's going on there then?

If I'm not mistaken the barcode and serial number SHOULD be the same if it's the exact same wallet...........................shouldn't it?

Yes they are the same, however the seller is different. One in the US with one name and one in the UK with another name. Also the one in the UK says she has no knowledge of any other listing!?

First - you NEED TO POST LINKS TO THE LISTINGS.

Second - you don't seem to understand what Alansgail already said. Why wouldn't two individual examples the same style wallet in the same colors NOT have the same bar codes and numbers? And why would you think that different sellers with obviously different hands and nail designs are being sold by the same person?

What you're asking - or the way you're explaining it - makes no sense. I don't think you understand anything about Coach serial numbers or bar codes.

And without URLs to the listings, how do you expect anyone to give an opinion???

Wow alright, settle down, I haven't broken the law. I considered posting links but didn't want to be accusatory to anyone. What you are saying is that two wallets could have the same serial numbers on the sales tag. That's all I needed to know. You are right, I don't know anything about Coach serial numbers - which is why I asked!

Glad I didn't post links because it doesn't seem as if there is anything untoward at all.

Hi, I think I might understand your concern. Some designers have unique numbers for each and every item and no two items have the same serial number. But this is not the case with Coach. What Coach has are style numbers, so two if the same wallet or bag would have the exact same style number. Sometimes Coach does rerelease a popular style with different style number so you might find two similar bags with different style numbers but that rarely happens. HTH!

That makes perfect sense, thanks for your helpful response. I wasn't aware that they used the same serial numbers. I am quite new to Coach.
