I wanted to look at the different styles of the Coach classic line - I have a city bag and a stewardess and I was hoping to get another bag in black - I think it's the court style? I forget. Anyway, it's gone from the Coach site and it says they will have new bags for the 75th anniversary.

Would there still be some coach classics in stores? that's where I got my other ones. It's really the only line I really like from coach, simple, understated, good leather.

There will be a reissue in 2016 for the 75th anniversary of the classics. No details just yet, but I am hoping for some amazing anniversary editions! I want to get a Stewardess, so I hope that is one of them that definitely comes back.

Seeing this thread makes me wonder about some pictures I found on Coach's site ... I just posted them here: http://forum.purseblog.com/coach/fall-2015-closer-look-at-bags-and-outerwear-899372-52.html ... post 767. It's supposed to be a remake of a "classic style 9170". Given the timing, is it possible that this is the type of thing they're planning for the big anniversary? Taking a classic style and redoing it? I have no idea, but I'm just saying the timing is interesting.

You mean the url I posted? It's a link to a page in the "Fall 2015 bags" thread, right here on tpf. Then scroll down a little to post #767. I posted a bunch of pics. :)

(Or do you mean the linking of my logic is wrong? :thinkin: I admit it's a guess on my part, but seems very coincidental. Especially since this new bag is claimed to be based on the "classic 9170" style.)

Buh???? When I click on it, I get page 52 of the thread entitled:
"FALL 2015 - CLOSER LOOK AT BAGS AND OUTERWEAR"

Somewhere, somehow, an array element is pointing in a very bad direction. Hold on and I'll attach the pics to this post.

(editing to add the pics ..... this bag is supposedly a remake of the 9170 "Classic Pouch" style. That's an oldie, and I find it interesting that they would be remaking it now, with the anniversary coming, and the other "classics" line mysteriously disappearing from the site. Maybe this is a taste of what they intend to do?)

I don't know if that will happen, at least in the near future. If they are coming out with the reinvented versions of the classics, they might not want to make the classics available at the same time. Although they had the archive Rambler and Patricia available at the same time as the classics were still on the website.

I would like it if they remade some of the styles that haven't been seen in the last 20 years.

Looks great. I heard they're planning to do some Bonnie Cashin styles with some sort of fob on them. Who knows?

My mother in law's old school I think Stewardess was stolen from her a couple years ago and I was SO HOPING to surprise her with one for her bday (next week) but maybe now xmas. (I am not sure that's the right back. I don't remember it having a flap, it might be more of a hobo style...? But I wanted to get her a classic one that was just like hers and I was not pleased they pulled those off the site again.
