Most of the Classic line pieces I own have solid brass hardware. Today, I came across one with plated base-metal hardware. Was there a period of time with base-metal?
I wondered if it was a fake - but who would bother to make a fake of the Classic pieces?

Thank you Bjara. The bag was a fake (and my camera is on the fritz) so I don't have pictures. But why on earth would anyone bother to make a fake Classic? Glove leather with a raw interior, solid brass findings - I love them, but I'm the only person I ever see carrying them...
