This may sound strange but do you ever feel guilty for cheating with another handbag brand that isn't COACH? I did it today and I have had my eye on this bag for a few weeks and was able to get it at a huge discount. It retails for 149.99 and I got it for 49.99+tax...

BUT I can't decide whether I want to keep it because it isn't COACH...But I do love it.

It can be carried by hand, worn on the shoulder or crossbody...very nice leather made by the SAK.

That looks a lot like the Poppy Highlight. Maybe that's just me though. If you REALLY want something Coach, you could probably pick up the Poppy Highlight. Otherwise, there's no harm in buying non-Coach :)

Nope. I started off with Coach, but then I branched out to Michael Kors, and now I have maybe 10 Coach and 6 Kors. I'm going to Orlando next month and plan on checking out brands I can't easily get in Canada - Rebecca Minkoff, Hayden Harnett, etc.

I found that after owning about half a dozen Coach that I was longing to try something a little different, just for a change. If you have a look at the January Coach challenge thread, you'll see that many of us love and enjoy all different brands of purses.

The bag you posted is very pretty, if you love it, keep it!! There is no need to have to be loyal to any particular brand of any kind of merchandise.

Buy and enjoy whatever you love! :D

I think you may have just convinced me!!! I have always been loyal BUT really love this bag! THX!!!

No, I can't say I feel badly about it at all. There are so many designers out there who are making bags that aren't even similar to what Coach is putting out. There's nothing wrong with sticking with Coach if you are happy with the quality and styles, but it's not like the company is owned by your grandmother who makes each item especially for you with her own hands.

If I hadn't tried designers other than Coach, I wouldn't have my Botkier Venice or my RM Nikki or my Treesje Charlie or even the Michael Kors Skorpios in my avatar.

Trying new brands is like trying a new restaurant to me. Sometimes I like it as much as the ones I'm used to. Sometimes I like it less. Sometimes I am surprised to find I like it even more. No matter which it is, I'm glad I at least gave it a shot so I'm not just having the same thing every time. :smile1:

Why feel guilty? Bags don't have feelings! You haven't signed a contract or made vows to Coach to be loyal to them have you? There are even designers that carry bags other than their own. I'm fairly certain I've seen photos of Gwen Steffani (sp?) carrying bags other than L.A.M.B. for example. If they can do it without guilt than so can you. Buy what you enjoy and what you feel is worth your money, whether it carries the name Coach, Sak, or no name at all, and feel good about it!

^it's a perfect ad for Sak - two years ago I never would have looked at Sak as a competitor to Coach - but something like this really raises their street cred. Get it? Sak is obviously improving by great leaps and bounds!

Heck no. I don't feel guilty cheating on any of my bags. I don't have brand loyalty. I have a diverse range of handbags! :)

^ I agree with claypot. I don't believe in "cheating [designer's name] with another designer". I tend to get bored of sticking with the same brand a lot, so I like to add variety of designers to my collection. Not just coach. :)
