I'm not really drawn to any of the bags so far - though I do generally love the direction they're going. I'm am, however, in love with all the SLG's - especially the turn locks!

Looks like Coach is saying - Find some depressed looking kid and hang all your bags on them
I was thinking constipated.

Some of the bags are cute but those sandals? They remind me of the boot you wear when your foot has had surgery. :hrmm:
I think they are trying to reinvent tenured environmental sciences professor mid Atlantic State University wearing Birkenstock’s with socks in the winter.
ETA and somebody please give those poor kids a sammich!

Someone at Coach please read this:

These looks literally look like homeless teenagers camping out in tents and vans in NYC who found random Coach products. Almost apocalyptic like an NYC that global warming has destroyed and these homeless kids raided the Coach store. I literally have no idea who they are trying to sell bags to with these looks. And was the smog in the background intentional? Please hire some new designers and stylists.

I got the hamptons vibe from first photo with the siggy bucket hat. A little bit of Bonnie Cashin with the small crossbody bags. A little bit of 2012 legacy line with small pouches.

Also what is with these tiny bags that can't even fit a cellphone? I give up!

I hate to be so negative but I would love to see Coach get some functional classic bags back.

I agree with your entire post, and will just add, apparently the micro bags are a thing with many designers!
I am getting, from some of the mini mini clipped on bags, a vibe that Coach sized down the old Vintage Belt Bag Pouch to the size of the original key fob mini City Bag, Station Bag from the nineties. So as it appears Coach will often do, and nothing wrong with this, is have lunch or pitch meetings in the Archived Bag room and look around for ideas for upcoming collections.
In their September show, as you know, they highlighted all the small bag styles they are bringing back/modifying/reinventing from the 90s, or older. All this cute little bright stuff certainly creates a lot of buzz ( marketing) and if you ask me, impulse buying. I am curious to see how many of these little bags they churn out, what goes to outlet, and what I will be buying on eBay, in about, oh, 3 years (I prefer the resale market as a sustainability choice).
I enjoy roomy and functional classic style. Hence vintage and of lately, Legacy styles with a flap from 07, 08 -ish.
Following Coach is entertaining. I have more than enough bags for my current needs and can now keep an eye for what is interesting.

And this one...and the SLGs are too cute! I don't know what's going on with the socks and sandals!

Reminds me a bit like an ultra luxe version of glamping....glamorous camping. We have the model holding an old wooden oar, then this model is behind an old camper van with a vintage thermos, holding a fishing hat. Her jacket looks like upscale North Face, and the sandals and socks are very Pacific Northwest. Tevas or Birkenstocks with socks are everywhere.

I didn't even notice the one model was holding an oar! I guess I was too focused on the bag!

I don't understand why they (and other companies too) want their models walking around with sourpuss faces or depressed looks or some that are downright glaring. They don't have to have big Cheshire grins on their faces, but they should have at least a ghost of a smile.
