Did anyone from the DC, Maryland, Virginia area go the CMart grand opening in Landover yesterday. I was there. It was a mad house. I was in line for over an hour. I did find some great deals like a $1,200 Prada bag for $500, Coach sandals for $50, Stuart Weitzman sandals for $70 and a DVD player for $60. What did you find?

OMG - don't get me started about C-Mart. They were the reason I found the forum. I went to the CRAZY handbag event they had in November 2006...the one where they apparently purchased the inventory of a Saks affected by Katrina, and had marked all CURRENT bags off by 50%.
I got there at 7am and there must have been at least 300 people ahead of me. They gave us tickets, but they were POORLY organized. At 10am, people rushed in and the fire marshall had to eventually shut the place down. I clearly love handbags as much as the next person here on the forum, but the behavior of some of the people there - the pushing, yelling, crushing of people - was ridiculous. Needless to say, I've never been back to C-Mart and don't plan on it.
But, congrats on your new purchases...I'm glad that you were able to find some great deals!
