Clutch Historique or larger bag? (Men's)

Wondering if you guys would go for the Clutch Historique (Monogram, 1440 pounds approximately) or if you guys would go for a bigger bag for that price? Like a briefcase or whatever. =)

I love the look of the clutch historique, but the price is INSANE. You could get a very nice full-size men's bag and say, a portfolio, Macao, or St. Louis clutch.

This! I had my eye on the Clutch Historique, love the oversized hardware a la a hardcase, until I heard the price! I'd rather get a hard case for that price. GL deciding!

I would go for the mono clutch historique as it is really lovely IRL and the hardware opening is beautiful
