Hi! Lots of great advice here, and I'll chime in to add my two cents...
I am getting a WG Clover, so obviously I like the Clover (my Clover will be on a plane next week, coming to America/NY!)
The Clover has a lot of metal; hence, I do not see it as a diamond bangle. I see it as a stunning, artistic metal bangle design, accented with diamonds. I purchased it because I love the design. If you look at it, it's a work of art. The metalwork is so beautiful and intricate. You can find look-alike Clover bangles (think Roberto Coin), but there is nothing like the Clover with its beautiful metalwork. There is no equal with the Clover.
I also tried on the 3 row, and yes, it's beautiful and the diamonds sparkle. However, to me, while the 3 row has a lot of diamonds, I found it a bit simple and dare I say, boring. At its core, it's nothing more than just another diamond bangle/tennis bangle. Diamond bangle/tennis bracelets are everywhere and at all price points. It's a common look. I prefer fine jewelry that is more artistic.
I also think the simple design is the reason why you do not see many 3 rows. The 3 row bangle, at its core (take the VCA name out of) is a very common and simple design. If the pricing were flipped and the iconic Clover were priced higher than the 3 row, I think people will still covet the Clover (I certainly would). The Clover is truly a work of art vs. the 3 row which is just a bunch of diamonds set in three rows. If you think of high jewelry, the beautiful pieces are not simple bangle/tennis bracelet designs. High jewelry is all about the art, the beauty, and the complexity of the piece. I think that is why the Clover is so beloved, a true work of art. Just something to think about for a different point of view.
On selecting your bangle...
I would think about the look you are striving to achieve because the pieces to me create different looks. Here are my thoughts...
- Signature + Clover = This look gives it a chic vibe. I think this is a great look. You see the beauty of the artistic Clover matched with the sleekness of the Signature.
- Signature + 3 row = This look will give you the "diamond bangle" look. However, this look to me is a bit odd, and also a bit plain. It is odd as the Signature bangle is all metal, yet the 3 row is all diamond. It is a very black & white pairing and not a smooth transition. I personally think with this combo, the Signature bangle takes away from the beauty of the 3 row, because the blingy diamond bangle is now next to a plain metal bangle. It is plain for the reasons I stated about about the 3 row. This look to me is a simple bangle paired with a tennis bangle, hence a very common look. If you love the 3 row, I think the 3 row looks better without the Signature.
These are just my thoughts of course, and everyone has their own preferences. With jewelry, it's 100% personal preference and anything goes.
For me, my vote goes to the Signature + Clover. I hope this was helpful. Good luck with your decision.
