I am planning on getting the Birkin 35 PH in the curry color. I can only hope that by the time I am ready to purchase I will still be able to find the color!

My question is, while I am I do not have a major preference of the leather as I understand they are similar, I am concerned the Togo will present veins in the leather and dilute the curry color.

What do you leather experts think?
Stick to the clemence?

I actually find Togo and clemence to be quite different. Both Togo and clemence can have veins, but yes, clemence veins are much less noticeable. However, you can find veinless togo...tough but they exist. I think the curry color is quite different in clemence vs. togo. Like most colors, clemence tends to make the color richer and deeper vs. togo. I think you should consider that as well when you decide clemence vs. togo and figure out whether which depth of curry and how much veining you would like.

I have a Clemence Massai in Curry. There is veining in it. I have no idea how it would compare to a Togo as I've never seen one. It is a very pretty color and adds a pop to your outfit. Good luck!

gelbergirl, it depends on the individual leather pieces. I saw a clemence Kelly on the shelf 2 years ago that had very deep and pronounced veining more than any togo I had ever seen.

I've seen togo with no veining and some with. I don't feel you can know ahead of time which you will receive if you request an order with the store.

A person just has to see each individual piece/bag and see if this is what she wants....:smile1:
