Yesterday I noticed that the leather around the bottom of my LV Petit Bucket bag was dirty. I looked closely and it looked like the dye in my new jeans may have rubbed off on the leather (and yes, I washed them before I wore them), or else I brushed up against something blueish. So I had an idea...I took a regular soft pencil eraser and rubbed on the area that was dirty and most of it came off, leaving the leather looking clean! I don't know if this would work for other kinds of dirt, probably would not work for stains, but I just thought I'd put it out there.

Cool cleaning technique! Just so you know... I have jeans that I've had for YEARS that have been washed a number of times, but they often still rub off on my suede purse. The people at Coach have told me that just the friction against the darker color will cause suede and vachetta leather to pick it up.
