Cleaning the dust bag?

Hello! So I just received my Kelly 32 that I purchased from FASHIONPHILE. The bag itself is in really good condition but the dust bag is in terrible shape sadly. It’s very stained. I’m already sad that I couldn’t get a bag with a box but now the dust bag looks terrible and unbecoming of an Hermes bag. Is there anyway to clean the dust bag? If I put it in the laundry will it mess up the Hermes logo on it? I know it’s a small thing but I will never ever be able to buy a new Kelly/Birkin in store as I just cannot spend 3:1 so I kind of want my preloved purchases to be as nice as possible. Thanks!

I would just try to wash it. I doubt that 30-40˚C would do any damage. You could also buy H dust bag from reseller. I have also seen some people at the boutique (Sweden, old NK store) ask for a replecement for a lost dust bag and they were given one.

Don't worry about a box; better without so that the leather will breathe.
I wouldn't let the bag out of my hands.
A gentle handwash of the dustbag should brighten and freshen it up.
Don't keep it in the water for too long, nor work it hard around the printing - but common sense will tell you that.
Possibly turn inside out to wash; squeeze don't wring.

I also bought a vintage Trim bag and that dust bag stinks of storage odor. So I am attempting to hand wash that one now in woolite now. If that goes well I will attempt the Kelly dust bag.

I know I just kind of wanted it to feel more special since it’s a big an investment. But the bag price was I think pretty good and they had $300 off code making it more enticing. I had to sell quite a few Chanel but I think in the long term these bags will stand the test of time better.
