I did a reveal the other day of my new vintage horse and carriage box which was in pristine condition, except for the horse and carriage buckle which had green rust/mould... Here is my reveal thread, where u can see the pics of the buckle.

I did some research on google about how to clean rust and mould from gold, and came across a gold coin collectors website that suggested cleaning gold coins with toothpaste!
I gave it a try tonight and am totally surprised at the usefulness of toothpaste other than cleaning teeth!!!
The rust and mould is pretty much all off and the buckle now looks sparkling clean!
Given my success, I thought it would be great for me to share this useful tip I attach before and after pics for u below.
