  1. Anone use any protectant or care cream on the SDJ smooth leather? I just bought one (YEAH! Can't wait to get it in the mail) and I am concerned about scuffing up the leather.

  2. Using a leather care cream (Collonil, Apple are great ones) will actually help smoothen out any scuff marks and make it a bit more resistant to light scratches, e.g. from rings and usage. And if you accidentally scratched it with your nail and leave a deeper mark, rubbing some leather care cream on it will buff away the scratch mark (Though on closer inspection and in certain lighting you may still see a bit of the mark) and it will disappear over time!

  3. buy a good quality leather cleaner / conditioner and apply and polish. Some of the recommended brands include collonil (http://amzn.to/1dixrJn) and saphir (http://amzn.to/1cNNjmu or http://amzn.to/1dixJQD). Or buy the one that appeals to you.

  4. Hi all, I purchased a used YSL Cabas Chyc in cream. I love it so much but too afraid to use it due to the color. I don't want to ruin it more as its already in a used condition. Any tips on keeping the color cream, and cleaning it? Also are there any leather protectants to prevent transfer of color from my clothes, etc...

    Any advice is greatly appreciated!

  5. Anyone notice creasing on their smooth calfskin leather on their YSL? Specifically the top of the bag where the flap folds back when you open your WOC or satchel?

  6. You should put leather conditioner such as Apple Guard or put Meltonian delicate shoe cream to buff out the scratches. I use these products on my chanel lambskin which is even more (or maybe they're the same) delicate than smooth calfskin. I've ised these on my red lambskin chanel with no color change but use a bit first sparingly on cloth, buff gently (don't rub abrasive my and don't use a lot, just buff like you're lightly going over the scratch)

  7. Just wondering what Collonil care cream you are referring to. There's just so many and I'm looking to buy one from that brand.

  8. I have a black SDJ that is not used very, very often and only 2 years old but the gold "Saint Laurent Paris" lettering has already started to fade . Has anybody else experiences this and know of a solution? Thank you!

  10. Oh yes dear!! I have a cassandre clutch and the wrinkles at the flap when it folds back is really apparent. I have tried ironing it with a layer of cloth and it doesn't seem to work

  11. Does anyone know how to clean and protect the gold hardware on The Betty bag? Or is it supposed to be that, oxidized look?
I've never done anything to it and always keep it in the dust bag away from heat.

    Thank you!

  12. I have stolen some metal polish from husband's garage and it works great. The one he uses is called simichrome http://amzn.to/1KgGOl3 but have read on other threads that Brasso is popular as well http://amzn.to/1PpqwOD

  13. Dear Orid
Thank you so much for your suggestion
Will definitely give it a try

  14. Just took my SDJ out for a clean/moisturizing session and noticed one of the feet on the bottom is missing - like it totally unscrewed at some point and the little silver foot is just...somewhere. Has this happened to anyone else?
