cleaning a silver cleaning cloth???

Hey everyone, random question but I have a DY cleaning cloth that has tarnish all over it and is completely black, when I clean with it I get black all over my hands.

sooo....who knows how to get it off? soap and water, washing machine?

I'm not sure I'd wash it because it would take whatever is on the cloth that cleans silver off. You might just need to buy a new one.

If it has turned black with tarnish, you'll need to replace it. Washing it will not help. You can try buying a sunshine cloth which works really well and is very inexpensive.

Do not wash the cloth... It washes off the chemicals that it uses to clean the silver. Buy a new one. They are not that expensive.

ok thanks everyone, i wasn't sure if cleaning it was possible or to just replace it!

i'll just buy a new one, i'm heading to tiffany tomorrow does anyone know if they sell cleaning cloths for silver?

Candice, you can buy a sunshine cloth online for a pittance. I don't know how much a Tiffany silver cloth is but 4 pieces of sunshine cloth is around US$10.
