Clean white stain off dark leather handbag

I have two white marks on my dark brown leather Coach bag. It fell off a shelf and hit the corner of a Xerox paper box. I tried brown leather polish which did nothing. I'm afraid to try anything else unless I know for sure it won't take the color off. HELP!

Why not take it to Coach to see what they suggest? Have you tried a leather cleaner to get the white off? (Not sure if they still have the free bag cleaning service amidst covid in your area)

The problem is that from a photo it's hard to tell whether that's white 'something' that's on top of a scuff that's exposed the under leather.
