No, it cannot. I think this is on the middle setting on both sides of the strap (I’m 5’4”, for reference).

I use it as a handheld bag, since I am 5'11", but its strap clearly moves only in the handheld-shoulder range. For crossbody use, I'd recommend a longer crossbody strap.

I have a Petite Noe and the strap is very similar to the Noe and does not work crossbody. I changed the strap to a longer one and added a short top handle and find this combination so much more user friendly. I got a wide bandouliere style strap from Dress Up Your Purse and also have the LV XL bandouliere and both are super comfortable.

There is a youtube video by heyyyjune called "Louis Vuitton Reveal | Preloved Vintage Noe" where she models using the classic Noe as a crossbody. I personally don't think it really works, maybe you would do this in a pinch if you really needed you hands free, but it wouldn't be an easy way to wear it all the time.

I ordered an organizer from Etsy because I wanted one that was very plain, with only a small pocket on the end for hand sanitizer and a drink holder on the other end. If I don’t have a drink with me I can put sunglasses and tissues in that spot. I use SLGs so didn’t want a bunch of extra pockets I don’t use adding weight and bulk.

Hey, I'm 5'1 as well and I have a petite NOE from the mid 80's, I wear this bag on my shoulder at the smallest settings each side of the buckle, if I extend the strap both sides, it wouldn't be long enough for a cross body, not sure if the bag has changed much

Insight from a tall gal who comes in at 6ft. I have the classic Noe from the early 90's, and while I love the shoulder carry with the shorter strap, I found it wasn't practical for my hands-free lifestyle. I recently picked up the vachetta strap J00109: https://us.louisvuitton.com/eng-us/products/shoulder-strap-vvn-vvn-001051, and instantly fell back in love with the bag all over again. With the strap on the middle hole, it allows the bag to hit at my hips. Hope this helps!
