Classic French mani - Essie or OPI (or other), and which ones???

Give me your recs, ladies! I am leaning towards Essie just because there is a sale this week at my local drug store, but do try to sway me if OPI or another brand is better I'm looking for nude nails (no pinkish tones) and dramatic white tips, and had Essie's Mademoiselle and Marshmallow in mind.

hey there! i find opi's sheers to be less streaky than essies. i find with essie's light colors i need multiple coats to even them out. i use opi alpine snow and opi bubble bath for french manis!

I've used Essie Blanc and Ballet Slippers for years for my French mani. Never streaks.

Same here with Elmel!!! alpine snow/bubble bath! or sometimes I use samoan sand. So pretty!
Bubble bath is more pink, while samoan sand is more nude. HTH!

used blanc but found out marshmallow was a little softer looking.

I used to do OPI's Bubble Bath with an off white tip. I had a mani with Samoa Sand and an off white tip recently, and liked that combo a lot!
