Classic Flap Coin Purse with Chain - Keep or Return

Hi everyone! I’ve been waiting for a long time for a black caviar coin purse with gold hardware and haven’t been lucky so far. So when my SA sent me a picture of this beauty I snatched it up in a heartbeat. However, I’m having some serious second thoughts. My main concern is the chain. I’m worried it would scratch the leather interior of some of my bags. I’m also worried if I wrap it around the purse from the inside (photo included) it would ruin its leather interior and maybe tear off the caviar leather?
I didn’t find this model on the Chanel website so I included a photo of the tag. I bought it in Kuwait for KWD 255 (Appx. $842).

What do you think? Should I keep it or should I return it?

I would return it unless you're absolutely in love with it which it doesn't sound like you are lol

I would keep it because all the small pieces are really hard to get now. Also, the chain doesn't have sharp edges, I don't think it would scratch the caviar leather. Enjoy it!

It doesn’t sound it’s the piece you actually wanted, but just something close enough. I know it’s annoying waiting for the “right“ item, but in the end you will be happier. I personally find that “compromises” I purchased rarely bring me the same amount of joy (only feeling of immediate satisfaction) and eventually I end up buying the item I originally wanted as well.

Thank you! That’s precisely what it was a “compromise purchase”. I’m happy to tell you I returned it. In addition to the chain thing, I found it too bulky for my bags. And a week later I found the zipped card holder and that was what I wanted from the start. Thank you!
