Food Clam Chowder

I love clam chowder New England style,I am always on the look out for the ultimate clam chowder receipe.I also try it at every restaurant I can,hopeing that one day I will find one I like.Usually most restaurants I have tried are not too tasty here in California.Any one have any recommedations?
