City vs. Giant City? Help?

Continuing with my endless research ... went to Barney's on Sat.and indulged myself playing with the bags for awhile - and am so completely in love with the City!

Can someone tell me why the Giant City a) is Giant, since measurements are the same and b) why the Giant weighs a full pound more?
Is it the hardware? Hard to imagine that the hardware would add a full pound.

Last question: What colors fade the least? I've been reading a lot of posts about this and am concerned. I want a dark neutral, like Castanga. Does anyone have suggestions?

Yes, it's the hardware! Dark neutrals are a safe bet.

^^ Yea, the hardware adds weight, plus they tend to use slightly thicker leather on the GH bags. The 'Giant' in the name referes to the size of the hardware, not the size of the bag.

I prefer RH anyway......so it makes the bag lighter! Castanga would be beautiful

I think a dark neutral not especially prone to fading is Anthra. Gorgeous chameleon gray, versatile and great for all occasions!

when i first wanted a bbag ages ago i always said i would never go for the GH but my two bbags are GGH and GSH.

i love the fact that either GGH or GSH can completely give certains colours a different look, sometimes it can lift a colour and sometimes the opposite.

i still will like a RH but the colour choice will determine that for me.

started with RH for my first 4 bals and then got my first taste of GH with my tempete in CGH then now 3 more bags later, all GGH.
