Hi all! I’m sure you’ve noticed the proliferation of chunky boots from 2019 onwards. Are they on their way out by next winter? Asking as I am considering getting a pair of the row zip boots but don’t want to do so if they’ve got a limited lifespan

Nah, platforms are not only stylish but much desired by people who are vertically challenged, like myself so... I am always wearing a chunky platform. Heck, I want my boots to look like a semi truck's tires and grip like one. If you are living in a place with a lot of snow, they are especially not out of style. I was in Japan a few weeks ago and even during the winter girls are wearing 3 inch platform boots in the snow and keeping perfect balance.
If you do a quick search on SSENSE or Farfetch, boots are still being made to be chunky in their new season lines. So the style is still healthy! (I'll be wearing chunky regardless.)

I second @tfldesign - the chunkier the better, the higher platform the better - for me, my legs don't look right unless I add that 6" chunky platform heel. They will never go out - but it is either your style or it isn't. I would never own a kitten heel, I would look and feel ridiculous!

I'm a huge fan of chunky boots! Not only do they usually have better traction (especially during rainy or snowy weather), but they give a modern edge to any outfit. And because they're heftier in material composition, I feel like I get my moneys' worth.

Shoe trends are always moving fast, buy them if you love them, and serve a purpose! My favorites are a pair of combat boots, which while not on the cutting edge look good and walk well.

I am not really a chunky boot kind of girl. Proportionally, I have short legs and a long torso. I also have more muscular legs. Chunky shoes and boots can cut my legs off or make them look shorter or stockier, so they're not ideal for me.
I do think they are very cool and fun though.
