Anyone have patent and the nappa? How does your sizing differ?

How do you break them in?

And which do you like better?

The sizing on these is so strange - I find the nappa to be a tighter fit than the patent. I have the same size in both, but I had a hard time breaking in the nappa and that patent was not bad.

^^I've noticed the same thing, my nappa are much tighter than patent. Strange no?

Very bizarre, considering on the other styles where I have both materials are definitely the opposite.

you know, now that i think about it, i definitely had a harder time breaking in the nappa. i remember doing the sock trick quite a few times, and it was when i decided to get a shoe stretcher. however, when i got the patent, they were pretty comfortable straight out of the box. very strange.

I, too, find that patent runs bigger and is more comfortable and easier to break in.

I don't have the nappa but I have the patent and they are extremely comfy. I didn't need to do any sock tricks or anything. Probably one of the pairs that I have where I can stay in them for 8+ hours

My New Simples in Nappa/kid (?) are still not feeling completely broken-in after 3 wears, while my patent is soooo soft and comfortable right out of the box, the patent wrinkles on the first wear!
