I want to give something to my wife for a very special occasion and she has told me she would like to have a necklace with a pendant. Also I have heard that since childhood she has dreamed to one day have something from Tiffany & Co. So I was looking around and found this classic piece Tiffany open heart. I know she likes gold and not silver, and also seemed to really like the yellow gold engagement ring I gave her, which has 7 small diamonds in a row.

One option seems to be the Open heart small in yellow gold, I've heard many people recommend this on this forum, and this I could get new.

another I found that looks interesting at least in the photos, is the medium sized open heart with diamonds. I will attach photos here. Seller said it is in a new like condition but pre owned. This would cost double the amount of a new small golden open heart, and starts to be the max of my budget. But I am not sure as I have not seen in real, if it is a nice one.

Or maybe there are some other nice options. I just wish I could choose something she will really love, and enjoy it was something chosen for her.

The Open Heart with diamonds is a beautiful piece. If you choose to buy a preowned piece, bring it to Tiffany to have it cleaned. The store will only clean authentic pieces. Cleaning a piece is free. Also make sure the seller has a return policy if the item is not authentic.

Honestly I would ask her to pick out a necklace, since this is going to be her first piece from tiffany and you said she's always dreamed of having something from tiffany. it sounds like something that would be really important and special to her. im extremely picky about jewelry and if my husband got me something from tiffany I would want it to be exactly what i wanted and i would feel really bad if he was all excited about the necklace he got me but it turned out i didn't like it. it's something she's probably going to be wearing very frequently so you want to make sure shes completely happy with it. if you still want it to be a surprise maybe have her narrow it down to her top 2 or 3 picks and then you make the final decision.im sure she'd still feel really excited while she was narrowing down her choices and waiting for the necklace to arrive. i do think the open heart with diamonds is very pretty and i would personally be happy to get it as a gift but on the other hand some women really dislike heart necklaces.

This is so exciting. I would like to suggest the Picasso Loving Heart in yellow gold. I have the Open Heart in small yellow gold and it flips a lot. My medium A version does not flip that much. Whatever you end up getting, tell her that she could go back to Tiffany to do an exchange if she prefers something else. Please keep us posted on your purchase.

I agree with the other ladies. The open heart pendant in yellow gold is a great option. I would recomend getting one from Tiffanys directly because you can return/exhange if she doesnt love it.

The one with the diamonds is beautiful as well but only get it if the seller accepts returns.

May i also suggest perhaps a nice dinner followed by a surprise trip to your loval Tiffanys? I think she would love the gesture and that way she will get the Tiffany experience and pick out what she likes. You could always go to the store before her to pick out a few pieces you like and let the sales associate know you will be coming back another date with your wife.

I like the idea that others have already mentioned of her being able to pick something out herself. If this is her first purchase and she has always dreamed of owning from Tiffanys, the experience of purchasing comes with that package.

If you're set on buying something for her instead of her picking something out, it might help knowing what other jewelry she wears/is into. Your price range will also help with suggestions.

Personally, I wear a Tiffanys YG DBTY everyday. I've been wearing it about two years now and can't imagine me wearing anything else. It's definitely a staple piece that could be dressed up and down.

I also think the store experience is worth a lot!! I would rather have something cheaper from the stora than something more expensive second hand if it is my first piece from Tiffanys. Since it is her long time dream I definitely think she would LOVE to go to the store with you and choose her own piece :)) and if you want you could give the SA some price point before so your wife can choose freely within your budget!

Agree 100% a good part of the Tiffany dream is being there. Maybe do a dry run and check everything in advance so you will have some background knowledge.

So saying DH bought my first Tiffany piece, also a pendant from his then watch dealer and I loved and still love it better than any of the Tiff pieces I have bought since then.

Really you can't go wrong with a Tiffany heart and diamonds, every girls dream and your choice is very beautiful

I think the girls have said everything! I agree with something new as it is a gift, then you can exchange it if its not 100% right for her.

I love the idea of taking her out to dinner and then a trip to Tiffanys. There's nothing like the experience of going to the store, picking something out and watching them put it in the iconic blue box with the white bow!
