Jimmy Choo Choo boutiques near Detroit?

DH and I will be going to a car thing with our car club in August in Detroit (of all places)...Does anyone know where the closest Choo boutique is? I know nothing about Detroit except it is in Michigan. We will be staying at the MGM Grand Casino ( I had no clue there were casinos in Detroit)...:P

Hi JM, I can give you a little bit of info about Detroit since I am across the border in Windsor. As far as I know, the only store that carries a small selection of JC is the Nordstroms at Somerset Collection (Mall). This mall is about 15 minutes from the MGM casino and has all kinds of high end stores (Tiffany, Gucci, Louis Vuitton, but not Jimmy Choo). As for the casinos in Detroit, there are 3 of them-Greek Town, Motorcity and MGM. They are by no means like the casinos in Vegas, they are much smaller and don't have designer stores in them. If you want to know anything else, just let me know. Hopefully this info help a little bit.:cutesy:

Sadly, I think you are SOL. I live in Michigan, and while the Somerset Collection is a great mall, I've never seen any Choos there. I've always had to order mine.

Saks and Neiman's may have a small collection, but last time I was there, I didn't see any.

Hi! I live in Michigan too!!! I buy my Choos from Saks at Somerset. They always have stock- especially some of the classic lines and they have a look book that you can order from. Both Saks and Neimans (again, at Somerset in Troy, Michigan) carry Jimmy Choo handbags too.

Thanks guys! Unless the shopping is pretty close to the casinos, I will probably not be able to go. I am still trying to decide if I want to go with DH on this one anyway.

I almost forgot- Tender in Birmingham is loaded with Jimmy Choo! That would be a great place for you to go. Birmingham is a quaint town, with nice boutiques and cafes/restaurants. It is also about 5 minutes from Somerset. I would even try to convince your husband to take you into Birmingham for late Saturday afternoon shopping (go to Tender), and then go to dinner at one of the many fantastic restaurants in Birmingham (PM me and I can give you a few! I have lived here my whole life)!

The casino is in downtown Detroit and is really fabulous! Downtown Detroit is about 20 minutes drive on the expressway from Birmingham and Troy. Although I bet the Casino will have shuttles to Somerset- so you can easily get to shopping!

Now you have me excited! They are having the Viper Owners Invitational there this year. There will be about 500-600 vipers from all over the US there. Some even ship their cars from Europe so they can attend this! It is put on by Dodge once every two years.
It was in Las Vegas last time they did it and we did a cruise down the strip... our car was on the front cover of Viper Magazine, it was a kick!
