Chloe Paddington question

  1. Over at PurseBlog, we started a new series called Closet Confessionals in which we examine how readers and TPFers afford their bag addictions. Read about it in this intro article and submit your own confessional here. We are looking forward to hearing from you!

  1. I have two whiskey paddingtons here (from NM, they sent me a second one because the one I ordered was missing the key!) - I'm deciding which of the two to send back.

As far as I can tell, the only difference between the two is (1) the grips on the handles of #1 are made of thicker, grainier leather (feels softer, too) and (2) the leather flap that the padlock is attached to on #1 is also grainier, and a better match to the grainy leather of the body of the bag.

    Opinions?

  2. Can you post pics?

  3. Sadly, no. I was just wondering of others with paddingtons noticed these sorts of things, too.

  4. Well, every bag is different, that's for sure. I don't have two of the same color but do have three different Paddys (Whiskey, Blue Nuie, and a black Bowler) and they all have differences like that, although I think that the handles on all three of my bags are very smooth. I personally like the more wrinkly/grainy leather myself but it's just a matter of personal preference.

How's the hardware on each? My advice... inspect the locks carefully and keep the best one! It's very common for them to be dinged up upon arrival.
