Background story:

my mother in law gave me a bangle with 14 little diamonds (about 0.1 ct each) on it. She also gave me a diamond stud pendant (about 0.5ct).
I rarely wear bracelet or necklace but I love wearing rings.

So....

basically I am trying take out the little diamonds from the bangle and the pendant and make it one cute ring.

Does anyone know a good jeweler that does a good job with that and at a decent price? Has anyone done this before and give me an estimate of how much it will cost? I just dont want to overpay for it :)

Thanks in advance!:yahoo:

My fiance's family sometimes goes to Burdeen's for custom jewelry. If you look at their website, they make a lot of diamond surrounded with lots of little diamonds type rings. My FMIL just bought a really pretty princess cut surrounded by a halo of pink diamonds by them. HTH!

I use to live in Napeville and used the jeweler 'Newstar' - they also have a store in Joliet. Dan and Ellen are the owners and were WONDERFUL.......however I left Chicago 9 years ago.

I can recommend a few
www.dimendscaasi.com, located on jewelers row
http://www.costello.net in Naperville and Glen Ellyn
http://www.razny.com in Hinsdale, Addision and Highland Park

Why 3? They offer different selections and services. I've had my watch fixed at Costello and some jewerly loosely appraised. Razny has lots of name brand jewerly and Dimend Scassi is known for the their diamonds. All 3 places have been reasonably priced for what I was looking for at the time.
