I’m currently hiding my face from the world as I shed my face like a snake.

I’ve had great peels before, but this time I don’t know that they went deep enough. I did a Precision Plus VI Peel, but the doctor and nurse decided to stop before I frosted and didn’t use all of the product. My skin is sensitive so I got really pink, but I felt no burning.

I’m breaking out like crazy and I’m peeling, but it’s a very thin peel. It’s like the glue you pulled off of your hands in elementary school. I’m worried that I just wasted several hundred dollars, a week in hiding, and my skin might actually look worse thanks to the new breakout. Trying to hope for the best.

Does anyone have Peel experiences to share? Maybe I’m just seeing the worst of it and worrying needlessly. Better that they didn’t burn me by going too deep.

I’ve done TCA and Jessner with good result.

I get 3-4 peels every winter..I've been doing that for about 7 years now....I've never had a "VI" peel, the one I get is called a 'hand peel'...it's a combination of acids but I can't remember which ones...I have them done at a derm's office, and I look like a meth addict lol everytime I have one.. :amazed:

My peeling process goes pretty quick...I have them done after work late in the day, and by the second day I am peeling..the third and fourth day is normally pretty annoying and gross but I'm so used to it it really doesn't bother me too much anymore...I still go to work haha!!! Everyone is used to it by now ... the skin that peels is actually pretty tough...you can't force it really bc the skin underneath is baby fresh and will be bright pink..I use tons of Avene Cicalfate for a good week until I'm totally done peeling...

I swear by them...helps with fine lines and discolorations from the sun..tightens pores..helps w/ aging...every single time I have one done tho I still ask myself why I do it haha...those two days when I look really bad it's annoying:nuts:

I don't have acne so IDK what to tell you about your peel experience, but occasionally I'll get a white head pimple right after I have it done as the acid does pull a lot of crap put of your skin...And the cost of my peels are $150 each time...I think..It may be $160 I can't remember. My next one is in two weeks..here we go again!!!!

I do TCA 15% on myself and I swear by them. Peeling lasts for about 7-9 days. 15% you dont look crazy at all, you just look dry and flaky. Anything above that you will have a noticeable tight layer of dry skin on your face for 5/6/7 days and peel for 2/3 days. Whatever you do, dont peel the peel with your hands, you will cause scaring. Let it fall off or gently exfoliate on day 8. Wear sunscreen for 2 weeks after or you will cause damage on the new skin and need to do another peel

I had many Green Peels which I highly recommend. The best Peel was a Phenol Peel which the doctor did with a lower percentage on my skin to tighten it. One of the best things I did in my life as it did make me look so much younger and refreshed. Most other peels like Obagi or Glycol Peels were a waste of money IMO and didn't make such a difference. Green peel and Phenol are the way to go

green peels are the only ones worth it and point. All the other ones are extremely inferior.
Nothing can compare to them. Never tried phenol though

Using Retin-A regularly Also makes a huge difference
