Yesterday when I was at the outlet I looked at the Madison Checkbook Wallet in gray quartz....it was 74.50 after discounts for a 218.00 wallet. I know it would look great with my BV Phoebe and gray quartz Phoebe, but what about scarlet? Also, for those that have a checkbook wallet, how do you like it? I currently have the Madison lizard embossed slim wallet and just put my checkbook inside without a cover. What do you all have/prefer?? Pros?? Cons??

I have the Madison Slim Wallet in dark plume--found it at the outlet for a steal--and I love love love this wallet. It fits a lot without being bulky and it has a great smaller pocket in the front I use for extra cards, stamps, etc. It's very handy. It is my favorite wallet to be sure--It keeps a lot of different things organized and is just gorgeous.

I love the slim wallets but I don't carry a checkbook in my bag. The last time I wrote a check was about 18 months ago when I had to pay a plumber.

I would get the grey quartz and pssibly the scarlet too if the prices were cheap enough.

my favorite wallet is accordion zipped, everything fits, money cards receipts change everything (daisy spectator one in dark blue, very nice wallet). i bought my DD one too and she can even fit her iphone in so when she gos out to lunch from work she just takes her wallet.

i also bought gathered Madison wallet but am saving for summer as it is pink.i do not carry check book out of fear of it being stolen (happened once)

I write about 5 checks a year for repairmen or property tax. There is no need to carry a checkbook with me. I prefer accordion wallets because I don't have to pull the whole wallet out of my purse in order to reach my money or cards. I think you could get a checkbook wallet and leave the checkbook cover at home.

I carry a Madison Skinny Wallet for essential credit/debit cards, and a Poppy double zip wallet for all my "other" cards - store loyalty cards, insurance cards, etc. A book of checks and a register fits perfectly in the front zip pocket of the double zip so no need for an extra checkbook.

I love my Coach slim wallet.

I like slim wallet because I have no need to carry a checkbook. Right now I use legacy soft wallet and it's perfect

Edit. I do carry a single check folded up in my wallet just in case. :)

I still carry my checks so I prefer a checkbook wallet. However Coach isn't making many of them now, so I've been buying the zip around wallets. I just put the checks in the wallet. The large double zip wallet is nice too with a compartment on the side that fits the checks.
There's a wallet "clubhouse" with lots of photos of wallets.

Okay, so I am bumping this thread. I went by the outlet today and to my surprise (I had called numerous times and they said they did not have it) they had a gray quartz checkbook wallet, style 50478-in fact 2 of them, price is 74.50 on sale, reg 238. Now comes the question, I have the Madison lizard embossed slim envelope wallet, style 49991, new with tags. I gave 178.50 for it as I bought with PCE, reg 238. Which wallet would you choose to go with black violet, scarlet and gray quartz??? Obviously there is quite a difference in price as well. I do still carry a checkbook for those rare occasions, but I currently have it just slid down in my wallet without a cover or register with it.
