I am implementing a new policy this upcoming year called a one purse policy. For those unaware I am a non-feminine guy with an interest in bags marketed to women. I own several types of designer bags and buy mostly neutral colors.

This policy will require me use one bag for at least six months before purchasing a new one. I will then sell or donate the bag I was using to avoid an unused collection. I find myself wanting too many bags and probably in need of a conservative shopping policy.

The challenges to compliance are straight forward. I have to find one bag that meets all occasions. I'm looking for a dull soft buttery leather purse somewhere in the range of $200 to $300. A medium size is probably ideal. I have been shopping some designer brands lately and here's my stated opinions on the brands of interest.

If anyone can recommend another brand or has any suggestions please share. My last bag purchase was a Coach Phoebe in Camel with Gold hardware. I have not used it and might nominate this bag as the first candidate. Thanks!

Sounds great! I am a change your bag with your outfit girl so one bag wouldn't work for me. But the minimalist approach works for many.

Coach is a good brand for quality leather in your price range. I've also seen some TPFrs post about various etsy sellers who do good work with leather. You may want to search for those threads. Are you willing to buy preowned? If so, you will have many more options for bags.

Can you give a little more info as to what the bag should or should not include? Would you want to be able to carry over shoulder or just hand carry it? Crossbody? Are you open to pre-loved or new only?
