Charge hold to charge send.

I'm curious if anyone has ever had any luck doing a charge hold and then changing it to a charge send? My outlet is pretty far away and sometimes it is hard for me to get there within the 48 hour hold time to do my chargesend paperwork, so I was wondering if it would be possible to do a charge hold to kind of buy some extra time to get to the outlet and do your paperwork...

Yes, I've done this at least twice when I've known that I wouldn't make it to my outlet within the 48 hours hold limit. Also, when they were changing the "at the door" discount from day to day, I did this to lock in the price.

I have done that before when I knew it would be more than two days before I could get to the FP store and have them do the paperwork.

I've been told if I call back before the 48 hours ends then they can extend for another 48 hours. All stores may not do this though.

Charge holds are for 2 wks. They will often extend if you can't make it in by then. Regular holds w/out a charge hold are 48 hours.
